The Baladi bracelet was designed to be matched to the precious necklace of the same collection. In the Ashanti culture white and gold inserts of Kente symbolise, respectively, purity and festivals, and majesty, glory and wealth.
The bracelet therefore takes the same tone of the necklace, using the white and gold Kente, The fabric is embedded in a circular rigid bases of cardboard. A silver/gold leaf "dirties" deliberately the rigid structure of the jewel, giving it a valuable "star dust" effect.
