This necklace comes from the study of the decoration of this special Kente cloth, in which the geometric diamond pattern of the fabric has similarities with the plumage of peacocks. The white color of the precious Kente symbolises purity and festivals, while purple means femininity.
The jewel was made by selecting each individual shape of the geometric pattern, redefined within a base structure of white carton plant: it frames each shape, defining each pendant. Medallions drop in hard stone violet enhance the design of the jewel.
Filaments of purple cord link up pendants in a bundle, giving to the necklace a great lightness and a great effect.
